My Autobiography
By Robert Charles Potter II
Family Origins
The family of Robert C. Potter was constructed of the Holt family who
decided to move to California from Albion Nebraska, and is on my mother
Linda’s side.
Along with the Potters who moved from Cleveland Ohio which
constitutes my father’s side of the family. I am a second generation United
States citizen, and the first generation in the Potter family to be born in
Southern California. My grandparents from the Holt side of my family were
immigrants hailing proudly from Norway and Sweden. The Potter side of my
family immigrated from Germany and Ireland. Both sides of my family came
from earnest means such as farming, so as they immigrated across the
Atlantic Ocean they traveled on the fifth deck of the ship enjoying the
company of wealthy traveler’s luggage and livestock.
My Education
Education started early for me as I joined preschool at the church
in which my family helped to build, establish, and attended weekly. I
continued a church based private education until I reached the sixth grade.
I transferred into the public school system as I entered the seventh grade
in hopes to adapt to public schools before I reached high school. I am
currently enrolled in the Building Automation Systems certificate program at
Mt.Sac taking such classes as:
· Building automation controls
· Advanced electrical circuits
· Computer information systems
I plan on furthering my education by earning an Associates Degree in
Building Automation.
Hobbies
Spare time is scarce for me in today’s fast paced dog eat dog day
and age, but as the saying goes life is full of choices. When I get spare
time I enjoy diagnosing problems on and fixing gasoline engines along
with hiking trails in the Angeles National Forest. When my friends and I
have an opportunity we relish the chance of combining the two by campingsomewhere for the weekend bringing our dirt bikes and off road buggies sowe can better enjoy our journey through this life.
